    Vegas, baby! With a side order of pandemic memes (Weekend Coffee Share #29)

    I spent my birthday in Vegas and won so much money, I’m going to retire early and write full-time. Just kidding. I did spend my birthday in Vegas, but I will not be retiring early, because I have absolutely terrible luck at gambling. Always have. Remember that line from the old Hee Haw song, “If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all?” Yeah, that’s me when I’m gambling.     This post is part of the Stream of Consciousness Saturday blog hop. Linda Hill posts a prompt every Friday; this week’s prompt is, “hope.” Remember the story of Pandora’s Box? Pandora was like Eve, only instead of being told not to eat an apple, Pandora was told not to open a box. Of course she opened it anyway, only to find it contained all the evils of the world. I’m off work this week, so I’ve been walking more. I saw these rock hearts on the Rillito River Park Trail here in #tucson and they made me smile.
